Is it possible to download the definitions file for a Midi Controller like the AKAI APC Mini MK2 to edit it? I think the file should exist somewhere, since the controller is already recognized by VDJ :)

Definitions are inbuilt into the app and are not publicly available to for modification. What do you need to modify in the definition?

I made a custom GPT in ChatGPT and fed it all the Device Definition & Mapping documentation. I think, if I had the device definitions XML i could also feed it to ChatGPT and easily generate complex mappings just by a couple lines of text. With the Definitions file ChatGPT would easily know what knobs , buttons & leds are present.
Also I would like to make view adjustments like ghost="false" for the faders.

Like I said, not publicly available, you could just feed it midi table info instead.
For training purposes there are 3rd party .def and mappings available to dl just not the devices you want.
I would hold my breath expecting anything coherent out of gpt related to mapping, let alone anything advanced.
