Tema: Bluetooth latency in headphones
I'm trying to do something that probably can't be done But I thought I'd check with the experts.....
I have an upcoming show where my speakers are going to be further away than I'd like so I'd usually use a monitor. For this particular show I can't use one as there will be people around me recording and they don't want the added volume. I'd like to use wireless in ear monitors but for this one time situation I don't want to spend hundreds to buy a system I may not use again. So I was thinking Bluetooth.
Now I know there is pretty decent latency with Bluetooth and it probably won't work...... Unless.....

Is there a way in the software to delay the sound on the master output to compensate for the latency in Bluetooth on the headphone output. I know the waveforms would be way off, but I mix by ear so that
shouldn't be an issue. Any thoughts...

Thanks

no, just mix in your headphones.

Locodog I would use wired headphones except in this situation there will be several people around me and the wired headphones could be a problem. I was hoping you or adion would have someway to add something to the xml that could help. I guess I'm buying a wireless in ear system ......

As locodog said, just do the mix with your headphones fully on, and use headphone mix to listen to the master in the headphones.

I often use Bluetooth headphones like this, and once you're used to it it works fine
