Hey guys.
So i bought a brand new FLX-10 and i am facing issues with the above mentioned FX.
1) Echo Out doesnt work at all. I press the button it shows enabled in the software but nothing happens.
2) Loop Out starts but doesnt fade out as selected, it just does the Loop and cuts at the end of it.
Any ideas?
Thank u :)

What do you have fxProcessing set to?

Check the fx gui for loop out, you might have no fade selected on dial 2

Only issue is. Every time i close and open VirtualDJ that setting resets. is that normal? Any way to stop it from resetting?

It shouldn't do that. Check permissions on your home folder location specifically the settings.xml file
You can find out where it is by pressing the cog at the bottom right of Settings>options

found the folder. but what do u mean to check permissions?

yeah i think that is because of the flx10. even if i dont restart virtual dj, if i disconnect and reconnect the controller that specific setting resets to post-fader. is there any way to change that in flx10 mapping/drivers? if not its not a big deal, i guess i have to change it every time.

flx10 mapping has a ONINIT Key that sets fx to post fader
change
ONINIT
to
change
ONINIT
setting_setsession 'fxProcessing' 'Post-fader' & fake_master on & fake_hp on & fake_hpmix on
to
fake_master on & fake_hp on & fake_hpmix on

Quick question:
Are you sure that the effects don't work ?
With fxprocessing set to post-fader the effects should still work absolutely fine, but they are not audible correclty in the headphones when prelistening.
This MAY give you the impression that the effects don't work, when in fact they do.
Both "Echo Out" and "Loop Out" work perfectly with fxprocessing setting set to post
Personally I would recommend you to keep the fxprocessing setting to "post-fader" effects
I'm 99.99999999% sure that if you try to use the effects in real time (while the deck is audible on air) and not on your headphones you will realize that they work perfectly.

Echo out does nothing 10000%, i see it in the software where the song just keeps playing.
Loop Out gets enabled normally but just cuts instead of fading out at the end of it. Now i dont know if in real time it will be played properly or not but if changing one setting can fix it then its not a problem :)

It "IS" a problem because most likely you don't understand the difference between those 2 modes and their limitations.
As an example:
When fxprocessing is set to post, Echo Out will keep the echo trails playling even if you close the volume fader after enabling the effect, but the effect isn't audible on headphones when volume fader is closed.
When fxprocessing is set to pre, Echo Out will NOT keep the echo trails playling when you close the volume fader after enabling the effect, but the effect is always audible on headphones regardless of volume fader position.
This is true not only for "Echo Out", but for "Echo", "Dump Echo", "Reverb" and many other effects.
So, there's a practical difference on how effects work when you change this setting.
If you want to change this setting because you actually want effects to behave differently, then ok, be my guest.
But if you change this setting to "solve" an issue that it's root cause is something else then you're doing a mistake. You're trying to cure a symptom rather than a cause.
At the end, the decision is yours..

BTW, still curious ...
Loop Out was finally "fixed" because the MODE (2nd FX Param) was not in "Fade"
but how did u fix the Echo Out ?
As mentioned previously, the fxProcessing setting should not matter.
Can you confirm that Echo Out (and all other Effects) work properly even with fxProcessing setting to Post-fader ?
One thing that we found out (and is fixed for next release) is that if you activate all3 FX Stems buttons, some Effects such as Echo Out wont work, but in case you do that (expecting to apply to all Stems) it is similar to disable all, so avoid this case till the arrive of the fix.
Other than that, we cant think what went wrong with the Echo Out and your case
