How do I stop the pitch drifting when it's been synced don't use it normally but thought I'd use the technology seems easier to pitch myself but as I'm new to virtual DJ thought I'd give it a go any help or suggestions appreciated.

You need to give more informarion about your setup.
One thinf to keep in mind - Sync in VirtualDJ is a one time BPM match and grid alignment operation - it doesn't align your songs on press of play (you need auto sync on play additionally for that) and it also doesn't continue to keep tracks aligned by grid (you'd need to additionally enable beatlock for that).
The latter point is especially important if you use motorized controllers, Phase or Timecode on turntables - their wow/flutter will cause eventual drift without that setting enabled.
