This would be a great addition to VDJ if it could be made compatable. Doesn't sound too hard check it out on http://www.tascam.com/product_info.php?pid=340 or www.tascam.com for a good image.
Looks quite versatile and would keep many customers satisfied.
it also has the added bonus of being cheep $99 US.

But i'm afraid that it is designed to control Tascam cd players
only and not dj software. If you look at the back of
Tascam cdx-1500/1700 (supported) you will see some connectors labeled ''accessories'' that are propably ps/2,
but no usb, and no information about pc connectivity.
I hope i'm wrong.

yes i did look at that i wasn't sure weather it was PS2 or S-Video, hopfully it would be PS2 as then it may be able to plug into a mouse port or serial port with adapters. if it was it is possable that it could be made to work with a pc otherwise a small interface may be in order.
this in my opinion is the future of mainstream djing and to neglect vinal support would be a mistake.
