thinking of buying this laptop to run vdj, as my current 17 inch is too big and heavy.
is the spec good enough to run vdj smoothly? if not can anyone recommend another laptop that is 14inch or smaller that would be better suited.
the laptop is 1399euro so i want something around that prie range.

It looks like good:
* RAM: 1024MB and 533MHz => very good
* Memory cache on the processor: 2MB => perfect
* processor: i think it's ok but don't forget to enable the mode: "desktop computer" in the energy
* chipset : not written as usual whereas it's the most important thing in a computer :-(
* hard disc: 4200 rpm => maybe too slow
* screen : WXGA: i guess it's the new technology for the display screen so very good !!!
* video card: not written so i guess it's directly on the motherboard

Just wondering......what does the seeting for "Desktop Computer" do??
Is there an external Video out there that can be connected to a USB, like the external soundcard ones??

WXGA is Wide XGA. Resolution is 1280x768, which is very low. Square screen works better for VDJ.
4200RPM is deffintaly slow.
I recommend IBM T series laptops. You get what you pay for.
