the cheaper on, is a discounted internet download version, where you can download instantly after the purchase

the ohter is a boxed version, sent you by mail.

But the software and version is the same :)

Yeah, download is the way to go, you can always do as I did & back it up on cdr in case your computer ever crashes;^]

You gonna need the Virtual Dj Pro version, 2 Timecode Vinyls and a sound card with 2 stereo inputs like Maya 44 USB or Dj Console Mk2. Technics 1210 are the best decks but pricey, Numark TTX is good also and cheaper one. Choice is yours.

I wouldn't recommend using the mk2 for TCV usage, the latency is unbelievably high. I made that mistake & now I have to wait to get the u46dj. For TCV use you should use either the maya 44 USB or the ESI u46dj;^]

my recommendations if you're buying equipment would be the U46DJ (working fine for me) for the soundcard/interface, as for the decks I'd say Technics but they are costly, so my cheaper alternative would be Stanton direct drives. But in all seriousness, I wouldn't buy decks at all, I'd go for CD decks, anything by Pioneer (CDJ200 is a great cheaper cd deck).
