What ways do you guys want your music organized? So far, I have, genere, bpm range, playlist, date added. Any other suggestions?
And I'm really excited about getting drag and drop from the manager onto vdj working. I think it will be great to be able to search through your music effectively in the manager, and then dropping it on vdj to play.
Are there any other features you want to see in an external manager?

No, its an external manager. From what I understand vdj's internals arent exposed enough to pull off what i'd like to do.

I saw in another piece of software that you can click a little search icon next to say an artist and it brings up everything by that artist. not amazing but it becomes handy with the one on the bpm column, where you click the search icon in that column and it brings up everything within a certain range of that bpm (say +/- 4%)

bpm range would be nice, but vdj already does that. well somewhat..

those are some great suggestions! I appreciate it

there's another tiny little thing, and it's probably me being petty but...
i like to be able to autosize the columns to fit the content in. that would be a nice little touch.

I appreciate it. I've gotten pretty far along with it. Got tracks being sorted into various (more importantly Multiple) generes/tags. I have it successfully reading the database/file locations to extract the bpms/length etc...
I need to come up with a good routine for parsing the artists/titles (vdj doesent save them unless you specifically change it). I'd also love to do synced data (change vdj and it shows up in manageR). Is it possible to force vdj to save the db?
I'm going to work on drag/drop and then finally (and should be most simply) the outputting of a directory of shortcuts all sorted into their relevant folders for easy navigation from within vdj.

Blackgold,
there is a shortcut available to save the database. This shortcut is named "SaveDatabase". I have set it to Ctrl+S. I save regularly also during gigs.
