Tanzi maybe not all the fuctions you want will be available for version 4.1 but everything is step by step in order to make it work correctly, I'm pretty shure that for version 4.2 most people will be glad, regards.

Well, 4.1 was finally released, asio and wdm drivers 100% stable, let's see waht else...
 
This is my first post on this forum. I've worked with VDJ v2 and v3 in the past - although with mouse & keyboard at a friend's house. very impressed with the software. I just baught a BCD2000. Is there any word on if it is finally working well with v4.10 or 4.11? if I download the demo, will I be able to use the controller? what do I have to do to make it work?

you were saying it worked in v3.4? how can I get it to work in that version?

well i got the demo, but I can't find instructions to set it up for BCD2K ..... :(

I'll post a full guide tomorrow (need to consult the BCD vip users first to make it best possible)

But short guide:
- Make sure BCD2000 is in B-DJ mode (Behringer control pannel)
- Enable the BCD2000 inside VDJ at the controller tab in configurations
- Choose the BCD2000 at the soundcard tab
- Go to performance and set the performance slider about middle
- Choose latency AUTO (important!)
- Try safe mode on and off, and overclock on and off (will act differently on different PC's)


If you experience a freeze or lock-up at the console, incease the asio buffer, at the BCD control pannel.

The Behringer asio drivers are very sensitive, so will try to post a tweak guide tomorrow, for those who need ;)
 
so you're saying all this fuss about VDJ not working with BCD is all resolved in 4.1 completely? I can use the BCD's internal sound card for monitors and MIC?
 
Monitor Yes / Mic NO

VDJ is not able to Handle an ASIO-Mic yet.
Hopefully in the near future ?! *lookingatnorway*

Norway told everyone on the Xylio site that they were not going to add mic support. Go over there and read what he said.
 
digitalmj, it's not quite truth

it was told that:

1. behringer promised WDM microphone support
2. after one users suggestion to support asio microphone and not break the TCV
it comes out that probably there will be 2 options, to use TCV, or use BCD2000 microphone input. But nobody promised that. Norway only said that from this new point of view dev team could reconsider the asio mic support

mic will work for future versions all you need is to be patient, dev staff is working hard on it, as you can see even xylio has assumed that they have problems with native drivers, you should consider that bcd is a new product and in order to make it work properly, we need to advance step by step.
 
That isn't what Norway said over on the Xylio bcd2000 forum. You need to go read it yourself.
 
ok, since you got it wrong, I'll say it again :

- Virtual DJ did not intend to support Mic in asio at this time (it MIGHT be added later). But for now VDJ has only , and will only, work with mic in WDM mode. This have been from the beginning...

- ASIO mic support was posted by dev team that there would not be time to add for 4.1, but maybe later.

- Mic will work in Virtual DJ as long as WDM mode is supported. The BCD2000 does not support this yet, but Behringer have promised new drivers, to add mic in WDM mode.



So, in one way or the other, Mic will most likely be supported for BCD2000 real soon ;)

Norway let me quote you from the other day. So everyone can understand the whole story.

( ASIO MIC is NOT a part of VirtualDJ, and never will be! Asio inputs are reserved in VDJ for timecode signals, and we do not want to mess up the system by adding support for mic input at same inputs. Now, Virtual DJ DOES support mic in WDM mode, and as soon as Behringer have updated driver to support that (promised by Behringer), the mic will work in VDJ. )

This is what you said and it's there for everyone to read. You do know that most companys don't support the mic in WDM if they have asio drivers don't you?

"Mic support" in bcd....
Mates, you need a solution and you need it now.
First of all, not the best solution even if this will work sometime.
If you are serious about mic just get a real mixer, even a cheap one.
Bcd, hercules and all these consoles are just controllers, NOT real mixer inside.
You got the point.
