Tópico: the CONSTRUCTIVE thread about BCD2000........ [VDJ 4.1 RELEASED AND WORKS] - Page: 5

Esta parte del tópico es antigua y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

The Complaint that I have is that BCD Users asked for and were promised Native Support.

this was only half delivered on.
The Reason I'm griping about the BCD is that It's been designated by the club i work in for permanent install in the dj booth. ( along with cd players )

the DAC-2 Is my personal gear.

Besides as a consumer I have the right to complain to a company that is not delivering on it's promises.
and Yes I do also expect a very QUICK soluion to this. Either in a patch or quick re-release

Ok to make the things clearer about this "native" support only dj-in-norway used this word in the official topic of the BCD2000 before the release. The first post of this topic, the most important, only used the word "support".

But as usual, dev team will find a solution as we don't want a stupid war.

I have read this whole post, even though I don't own the unit. It seems to be a lot of unhappy people, and they are showing their frustration by venting. This is not unusual, and venting is a good thing. So what now? Do you just keep going over the same thing? VDJ has said they are going to work on this, several times in this post. So do we let them work on it and see what happens? I know this is not what you want. Some of you want it now, right this minute. Well, the real deal is that is not gonna happen tonight, so give them a chance. Or, maybe there is another option I don't see.

@DJ Marcel_1
I can tell a difference at any volume when I have something to compare like 3.4 version to 4, same song, same volume. IT IS A BETTER SOUND! PerioD! Stop using that F word if you have any respect for Atomix and their FREE upgrade! Thanks. Peace.
Back on topic.
I have Behringer headphones and mixer and they work well. But Behringer has problem with keep in constant quality and that is the main problem. BCD is unfinished product. Why? Because they released it with unusable software. And what is this unit without software? NOTHING! And I hear now drivers are bad also... And you want Atomix to correct Behringer's mistakes?? Comon' guys....
Why you didn't do yourself a favour and get Hercules?

I agree, and in all honesty, especially at loud levels you will hear te better sound. I tested v3.4 against v4 at a club where I babysit the socalled 'major' DJs as far as keeping the sound optimal. I ran the same track through v3.4 and v4 using my RME and SL1 boxes and the differences is _VERY_ noticable. v4 has a much more steady and full sound.

"Why you didn't do yourself a favour and get Hercules?"
Maybe because we were promised native support for the BCD2000.

Again "native" but please read the posts. It's just 3 posts above. Are we (support team) the only ones to read and read again all the posts?
:-(

Guys, I’m sure a company who can generate such software is also able to have the BCD natively controlled (as the competitors do) or by talking to its developer to get the protocol or by monitoring the I/O’s and so get the protocol.

Anyway this is not done in “1” day I know, unfortunately we felt like being misled for some time because of some statements made in the forums BUT;
Whenever VDJ states it will be resolved I’m sure we will get there same as the history of the HDJC.

I guess that giving us (another) estimated time on releasing the fully developed product (BCD-2000 related) would be a start and will stop/slow-down us BCD users from nagging :-)

k..Since we're back at being constructive.

Can anyone please do some testing:

Download :
http://www.behringerdownload.de/B-Control_download/BCD2000-driver-setup-1-1-1-0.exe

DISABLE bluetooth, wifi and all networks (this is from Behringer support! the asio driver DOES have problems!)

Turn the BCD2000 into "advanced mode" or "dj mode" (not sure what the name is, this from Traktor forum)

This goes for users of ALL software; dj decks, traktor, B-DJ etc..
Just visit their forum and you will see...

it is the asio driver, i have the same problem with all software (bdj, djdecks...), .[
(DjDecks forum)

I'm glad it worked ok in 3.4, and Dev Team should be able to reverse that, and fix it.

But if anyone can try the suggestions above (helped a few users on other djs forums, + is the official reply from Behringer)

Regards

there are some other problems using the bcd even as a controller, I was mixing about an hour when suddenly decks started going slow and sound went away , I swicht to my x-fi soundcard and decks played normally again,any ideas? problems with wdm drivers as well?, another thing is that I can't use headphones for prelistening , I've tried changing all features in soundcards setup but I could't make headphones to work properly.

I just regret I dont have the console so cant test

but according to Behringer, and other dj forums, loosing the "control" over the console may be in connection with network devices.
Behringer suggest disabling all such devices.
Go figure:)

As for headphone, in wdm mode, that sould work.. or?

for asio (www.asio4all.com) it will not work yet

IN WDM mode the headphone out mirrors the main out, they're only separate in ASIO

what?!?
that must be a limitation of the Behringer driver right?

Ok time is up for digitalmdj. We hope not to have to do that again.

Well it seems VirtualDj can't make it happen so it seem the message has gotten to a few other software people. They seem to be interested now in creating better software for the BCD2000. If you wan't to blame someone instead of fixing the software thats your loss. No one in their right mind who owns The BCD2000 is going to purchase VirtualDj knowing it won't get fixed. You have had a few days to give us answers but it still goes back to denial. Well it was said now you need to make good on it. Who ever said it represented VirtualDj at a offical level. If you were not reading the posts I suggest you start doing so. Because we do we know whats going on.

@gafarrell
I wanted to get BCD before it came out, but first reviews here changed my mind, and I postponed my order till I am convinced that is a good unit (for that money). Than MK2 came out and reviews are good, so I ordered that console.
@digitalmdj
Welcome back. I think you know that soon or later, BCD will work with VDJ, just a little patience, it won't kill anyone :). And tell me, I see you have XP10, why do you need BCD anyway?

dgitalmdj;

You just don't get it do you. Please learn to code and do this sh*t yourself if you know so well.

The VDJ devteam made a booboo with the BCD suport for v4.0, shit happens and I for one am sure they'll fix it.. Sofar they have always come through rather sooner then later.

We know it don't work right now, they know they missed an initial chance. You are just using every chance you get with any software to be a pain in the *ss on each forum you appear rehashing the same BS over and over..

get a life

There's a number of reasons why this is so.. However this is well documented in the BCD2000 manual which has been available months before the actual unit came out.

Limitation or not, it could have been done right first time out the door. I trust it will be fixed with the next update..

How many FREAKIN times do you need to hear it?! it WILL be fixed, and sorry that it did not work good at first release...

Just grow up!

Vdj, Dj Decks, Traktor, B-Dj, Windows, EA Games, Adobe .... ALL release versions that have faults at first release, and needs bug fixing...

And so does VDJ in this case.. that all!

paulheu why is it you act like this on every forum. They won't make you a moderator so stop trying to cause trouble. You are right they had their chance and they should give a fair time frame to fix it or just say they won't. You change software all the time just to look good in a forum. You didn't last one day as a moderator on the Xylio forum. Hitler whould have a better chance than you.
