I have a Dell Laptop recently bought...
Specs
1.66GHZ, 981 MHz
1Gig Of Ram
Duo Centrino
Graphics 224mb memory
...I dono if thats decent on running vdj....but Iam having problems with the hardware acceleration....does a external sound card that supports vdj's hardware acceleration exists?
Also 3.4 when not having a video for the track ran plugins without the hard acceleration....is this something that vdj4.0 is not able to do? or am i doing something wrong...any feedback would be greatly appreciated....

In version 4 you need to have hardware acceleration enabled to use the video. I'm having problems with this also.

You see that your laptop is working on 981Mhz? Go in Bios and disable Speedstep function so it is working at full power all the time. Also check your Power managment and disable all power saving states inside. Unusaully amount of graphics memory says that you don't have dedicated Ram memory for your graphics card and it steals from your main ram, is this right? Check that out and if so, add more Ram memory, go for 2Gb.

I notice 224mb video memory, a clear givaway that is it a built-in chipset card, not the good type :/

Like in your other thread VanStino, go into the bios and disbale speestep.
If you don't know how to do that, there is this really helpful website i found:

7 Q: Turning off SpeedStep in the BIOS seems to have no effect whatsoever upon the machine's ability to change the CPU rate. How do you disable SpeedStep. I am using WinXP.
A: You must have it turned off in the BIOS and in WinXP. If you go into the Power Applet in Control Panel and select the Always On option it will disable Speed Step. Right click your desktop > Click properties > Click Screen Saver > Power button > Change the Power Scheme to always on.
So you need to make sure both are done
