depends... it's a good low-cost device, for more pro use xp10 can be better ;)

Hercules pluss side:
(quote from Cyderhouse, console owner)
"Its a great piece of hardware and here's why I think so:
DJConsole 249
which includes sound card, mixer, and software controller

Pro soundcard 150
mixer 200
controller 250

all these components would cost 600 bucks the console is
by far the best means of consolidation by device. And it saved me a lot of money by having these things built in."

thats the pluss side, its an all-in-one and cheep device :)
Also it have lights in buttons, and work very well with vdj (you can see sliders moving on pc screen...cool! )
The scratch is pretty nice too! (thanx vdj dev team!!!) But its not 100% vinyl, dont have a tactical plate that acutally stops the song, and stay stopped when holding the jogwheel... but moving the jogwheel stops, and make a good scratch all in all

hercules minus side:
- a bit "toy-ish" look and feel (plastic, small etc), and maybe not for a pro club use (great for practice at home, pubs etc)
- a bit sticky buttons (dont respond always, sometimes u gotta press hard, or twice at play etc.. )
- less image boost (lol... but important, for some of us)

-----
XP10 pluss/minus

pluss:
- very pro hardware
- very pro jogwheel, WITH tactical plate (more a vinyl feel, that actually stops the song, when pressing and holding the center of jog)
- more robust and less "toy-ish" than Hercules
- good image boost ;)

minus:
- no lights on play/cue etc
- no "mixer" (crossfader, eq buttons etc found on Hercules, but as this is a pro hardware, you might use external dj mixer for that)

----------

my impressions and thoughts... others might agree or disagree ;)
