Tema: BCD2000 Starts Shipping Again!

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Out of nowhere I get a package in the e-mail with my pre-ordered Behringer BCD2000 from months ago! I ordered it from SameDayMusic.com. The BCD2000 on the web site still says says "On Order" though, maybe a limited number may have been made.

Now all I need is Virtual DJ Version 4.1 to be more compatible with the BCD2000 and I'll be set! Version 4.0 locks my whole computer like crazy often and randomly the sound distorts gets fuzzy on random occassions, especially when I scratch. I have a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 with the latest drivers as of today.

Just wanted to let people know that Behringer seems to be making BCD2000s again.

Behringer will work pretty good with 4.1.
Tested and working.. :)

Now there are a FEW issues left, that Virtual DJ can do nothing about, but needs to be fixed from the Behringer side. That goes to stability of the asio drivers, and more...

But all in all it works pretty good in 4.1..

Now that Behringer seems to be shipping BCD2000 again, there is hope that they will also work on the drivers (causing problems for every software out there)

That would be nice if Behringer did improve their drivers. Hey, can't Atomix Productions talk with Behringer about it and collaborate? I think they will listen to you instead of me if I contacted them.

Well, I'll just wait for 4.1 though to use the BCD2000 with it.

problems with asio and wdm drivers wil be fixed 100% for version 4.1 , for future versions only little issues to add like the mk2 when was incorporated to vdj long time ago.

The BCD2000 they sent me seems to be a refurbished model, since the date code is 0602, the box was retaped and there are problems with the smoothness of the knobs and the jog wheels. Grrrr. It was kinda dirty, like it was used. SameDayMusic.com is going to hear about this! I already sent an e-mail. If that doesn't do it, a call is next.

So the BCD2000 is probably not shipping again, SameDayMusic.com just sent me a refurbished model when I paid for new. I mean I am not sure, but it seems like they have.

Yeah, I bought two from Guitar Center and thought the exact same thing about the box and the wrapping but software and cables were packaged new. Both appear to work fine but am still learning. I am VERY disappointed that the Microphone only works through the software. I thought it would also act as a free standing mixer in case of computer failure.

I'm currently using my BCD 2000 as a coffee table beside my comp. This is to remind me that buying the "dj gear flavour of the week" is not always a wise and noble pursuit. Personally from now on unless it's got a proven record of being a true pro quality piece of gear; then it can stay on the shelf and look pretty.

I'm waiting for the 4.1 update to correct some minor glitches and then I might give the bcd another opportunity to fail again, then I'm gonna take it to the local computer college and see if they can frankenstein it into something I can use.

Pro gear, RACK MOUNTABLE!!!!!!!, metal construction, good quality buttons (NOT CARBON PAD!!), real world service support, and decent price $500.00 - $900.00CDN

That would be a perfect world.
BTW just got delivery of my 2nd DAC-2. good piece of kit.

I'm sorry to hear that you hate it so much. The only thing I hate is the fact that my unit feel refurbished and looked like it too when it came in the mail. Other than that, I’m happy with it so far.

With the B-DJ software, Version 1.1 it works fine for me after installing an old version of the drivers, but I want the power of Virtual DJ 4. I do love the loop in buttons, sync, etc. on the BCD2000 with the B-DJ software and hopefully it translates well to Virtual DJ 4.1.

I am not even going to try to use it with version 4.0 because of the many problems I have read on here. I'll wait for 4.1 and then hopefully be happy since the main reason I went and bought the pro version of the software was for the BCD2000 support.

Important question to me and hopefully helps others in the future when they search the forum.

Is it possible to use the BCD2000 as a MIDI controller to adjust the parameters of Virtual DJ and have the sound output to my sound card in my PC instead of the inept BCD2000 sound card ASIO driver? I say inept since Atomix Productions says the other problems they can’t fix has to do with the Behringer drivers.

What are the issues exactly? I just hope it's something I can just deal with and not a major problem that will prevent me from using my BCD2000 that I waited months for.

you can use the behringer as a midi controller only yes :)

4.1 (beta) works pretty good for the BCD2000 users testing it, and it also has possibility for custom mapping (SDK).

Whats left for Behringer to fix, is the stability of the asio drivers. They have a tendency to lock/freeze if the PC does other tasks at the same time as you mix...
In other words, you have to be carefull so that the buffer dont run out ..
Depending on how fast your PC is, and your IRQ setup, this might or might not be an issue for you.
Behringer released a fix for Intel chipsets, and hopefully continue to work on their drivers.

But the beta testers seems happy, so hopefully you will be too :)

Okay, it seems that the Behringer BCD2000 is in full production now, since SameDayMusic.com, BananasAtLArge.com and AmericanMusical.com all have the BCD2000 in stock now. Now we will have to wait for Behringer to release better drivers and have Virtual DJ handle the influx of new BCD2000 users.

As noted in other posts, I am happy that the BCD2000 is supported natively but I don't like the changes made to way it is controlled and how the LEDs show feedback coming from B-DJ 1.1 to Virtual DJ 4.1. Not to mention I use Version 3.4 instead of 4.1 since my sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy 2) isn't supported. Will the Sound Blaster X-Fi series work better?

Maybe a unique mapper would make me happy? DJCel would maybe make it? Thanks!

So what are we waiting for? A new update or a mapper?

Let me rephrase.

Is there anyone among the community or the Team who is working for the BCD Mapper as we speak?

Please answer strictly, because Dj in Norway once said that DjCel is working on it.

Thanks

PS Why do we all the BCD Users allways complain?
