I am trying to rip a DVD with 18 music videos on it, and RIPDVD recognoices only 1 track of 20 seconds only...
Is there another alternative? I tried to rip it with DVDshrink, and it decodes it into 18 different files, but they seem to be blocked or something, VDJ doesn't let me play them.
Any alternative for DVD ripping?
Thanks !

From what I can make out, RipDVD won't rip DVDs that are copyright-protected.
Somebody loaned me a couple of DVDs - one was a dance thing that won't even play, let alone rip, the other one, Pop Jr, two or three tracks won't rip at all, and those that will rip split the tracks (index point occurs part way through)

You could also use dvd decrypter. I converted also some video dvdds and tehy won't play on vdj. It just said "error". After some trying and looking around I found out that there were several audio streams: pcm and dts. After enabling the setting: Convert pcm to wav and selected only the pcm stream, it was working ok.
So it could be that your dvd has some copy protection or the problem mentioned above. If you need more help with those settings, please ask.

Thank you guys, I downloaded first DVD FAB DECRYPTER, seems easier to use, I'll tell you later if it worked or not.

I agree with Putte. IMTOO is very good. I have tried a few different ones. But this one is the best. It will also let you select the time to begin and end on the dvds that do not seperate chapters...

I'm trying IMTOO, it ripped it with great quality. Now I'm making some tryouts, just to find which output format is less processor dependant, even if it takes more disk space, just to avoid cracking, poping when loading a video on a desk.
Also I'm still checking around, IMTOO is great, but demo is limited to 5 minutes, I'll try to find something similar and freeware, that's why I started with DVDshrink, moved into dvd fab decrypter (with no luck) and DVD decrypter, also with no luck.
I'm amazed with companies, I pay for a DVD with some videoclips, with real money, I'm not telling them "hey, here you go, but you can only use this money on certain shops, and only for personal use" but they feel free to do that with me.
Focusing on the topic again... IMTOO rocks... If no other alternative... I'll have to consider on registering, but damn! I'm trying to save cash for new CD players!!!
Thank you all
