Hello to you all!
I'm after a bit of advice regarding lighting. I've been tasked by my university halls to get a lighting set up. The venue averages around 200 but my budget is quite small at 300 sterling.
I'd appreciate any advice regarding whats the best bang for my buck!
Thanks in advance
John

PSSL.com has some pretty decent low price packages, you can also look on ebay for a lighting package

Honest opinion, for 300 quid you aren't going to get much mate. My advice, go over to www.mobiledjforums.com (uk site) and ask some of the lads in there what they've got for sale. There's also a number of UK retailers in there. One things for sure though, they wont give you bum advice on mobiledjforums.

can't they get a tax write off like in the US? or any other kind of discount or savings since it's for educational purposes :)

Last year I bought all my equipment from Thomann. It is a company in Germany, but they ship very cheap (7GBP for orders under 134GBP, otherwise free). They also have a good price.
Ewout
