I was looking at the Numark CUE software, and discovered the upcoming Numark Virtual Vinyl software/hardware.
I am assuming that it like Serato in not needing a seperate sound card, but that the software is actually like Virtual DJ. I have a M-Audio Fast Track Pro on order along with a Dell e1505 laptop. The Fast track pro order can be canceled though.
It comes with the time coded records as well as the cd's (which I would use 97% of the time).
I was going to purchase virtual DJ today, and after reading different bits about Virtual Vinyl, I am thinking that I am going to be getting the best of both worlds, for about the same price.
What do all think, and what software has more advantages.
From what I have read the Virtual Vinyl is going to be $499.
Thanks in advance!

Numark Virtual Vinyl: A package that includes software + soundcard + timecode vinyls
- Numark Cue
- timecoded vinyls branded with Numark lgoo
- Soundcard branded with Numark logo
The software is the same as Virtual DJ.
You can of course get Virtual DJ , and use the card you ordered too.
And then get timecode vinyls from here (branded with VDJ logo)
Or get the full package from Numark ;)

Wouldn't the interface that comes with the Virtual Vinyl be better suited, or would it matter?
Mensajes Sun 22 Oct 06 @ 7:04 pm
The Numark interface is tailored for the software... true :)
But good pro soundcards that run asio at low latency will peform as well..
Such as U46dj, maya44, Delta44 etc etc.
The Numark solution will no be available before another couple of months by the way

So a M-Audio fast track pro will do the same thing then?

I guess I need to just decide if I like the VDJ or the CUE better then...or did I read that there is a skin for VDJ just like CUE somewhere?

Don't think there's a numark cue skin there though, but the choice is quite adequate.

Try the demo, and you will see it has almost same skin as Numark Cue

Any Soundcard may work with VDJ, unless you want to use TCVs, the only M-Audio available for TCVs use are the Delta Series and M-Audio 1814 Firewire. You can use M-Audio Delta 44 or 66 or 1010LT or Firewire 1814, also Terratec 88 or even a Creative X-Fi Platinum or Fatal1ty or Elite Pro. And of course the Esi-Pro U46DJ and others which have 2 Stereo line INputs and 2 stereo Line Outputs and works in ASIO.
The Fastrack don't have enough inputs to handle 2 Turntables.
So I'd cancel that card if I where you... ;) Get a different soundcard...

As far as I know, the Fast Track Pro does NOT have 2 regular RCA inputs for connecting turntables.
You can connect mic & instrument, but doubt you can use the same input for turntables.

Get this card and you'll do great with Virtual DJ ;)
Best USB solution...
For internal cards, get Delta 44 or similar...
