I hate to keep making suggestions from previous beta's, but I just want to get these ideas out there early enough in the session so that they can be considered.
Thank You Again!
BTW, 3 1/2 hours of straight mixing this morning... no crashes. I think tomorrow, I'll do what I can to try to make it crash! :-)

Reverse or back effect
It would be nice if we could set a cue "loop" point on the song where a predifined loop should start.
Dunno if we already have it but: Auto Save eq and level information at close
Be able to use Microphone

A mark on the song where a cue was set would be nice..

1- => Beatlock system detects first downbeat and sets first square there by default. [home]
2- As much as I like the fact that VDJ tries to detect the type of music and make the appropriate mix, I think it VERY important to have the option available of beginning and end points. [Rick]

Atomix Productions propose other software (DJBox) which do that (even if it is not available on the internet yet, it will be one day).
So the point of the automix is to allow one to leave the system unatended for a few minutes, the time to grab a pepsi at the bar, but I don't expect users to carfully set each entry point and exit point of each of their songs.
I would rather add this feature in DJ-Box.

Actually, the default skin shows the time elapsed and time left as primary display, and the cue1 pos and total length as secondary display

It took a long long time for this to be added to Atomix. It is an important and useful feature, and I view it as quite needed. I hope that you will at least give it some more thought.
The changes and improvements that are apparent in VDJ are amazing already. Don't step backwards on this one feature.
To be clear, I'm not talking about setting entry and exit points. I'm talking about being confident that if I step out for a smoke, or to use the bathroom, and don't get back before a song ends, the next song will start at the beginning, after the previous song went all the way to the end.

thanks for anything you can do in this direction.

Just let all the autos enabled, and if the songs are "end of the night" songs (without big beat), vdj will automatically mix them with a fade, without altering the pitch, and from the start to the end.

so I put in another slow song after... VDJ started it with only 30 seconds left to play. So, I tried a 3rd song. VDJ started it with 40 seconds left to play.
These were very relaxed beat slow songs... Van Morrison, into the mystic, and Jimmy buffet A pirate looks at 40, & Dobie Gray Drift Away. 3 songs that I frequently close out with.
I'm not looking for VDJ to play my whole playlist. I just want it to be able to start a song at the beginning, and end it at the end. Sometimes durring cocktail hour, or dinner at a formal event you can line up a couple songs and use the bathroom or have a ciggarette (I know I should quit). This software has so many great leaps forward towards excellence. In fact, it has every feature I have ever wanted in a mix software & more. I really hate to think that we're going to lose this feature.

It´s a wonderful atomix´s feature and i guess we don´t have to loose it.
Although DJ-Box will intent to kick djs out ((:, that automix feature is great to leave vdj playing alone for a few minutes without any problem.

I'll check that
