hey guys, I noticed that there's a m4v codec in the vdj codecs list, but cannot seem to get itunes videos to play in vdj. I have heard that you can, and others here have said that you can, yet I don't seem to be able to get it to work...

can anyone please explain?

I got the codecs from the other skyfxl post, but they didn't seem to do anything..

Same deal here there steve.

I tryed telling VDJ to use quick time decoder but it's not in the list.

Some help would make life a lot easier.

iTunes videos are faster to get ahold of in a pinch then waiting for Promo only in Snail Mail.

I believe that you just have to change the codec to Windows Media Player or something like that.

I just noticed that you said "m4v" and not "mp4", so try these for playback:

I've tryed that utility there ConQuest, even bought the platium version. ($60.00 usd)

It's only partially effective.

It will convert iTunes *.M4V vids into *.WMV format but the resulting videos will not play in vdj without disabling hardware acceleration and then VDJ is Prone to freezing. AND I mean RIGHT NOW total lock up crtl+alt+del freeze up.

I mean it don't F**king work anymore type of freeze.

Also on some vids it screws up during translation and the tempo's are all out of wack. One Gwen stefani video I tryed to convert sounds like a cassette that the tape is tangled in the heads. Others are out of sync

I guess I could always convert the vid again to *.MPG but that would void the drm.

There should be a way of importing the decoder from quicktime or iTunes. It's one of those *.DLL files but hell if I know which one.

Either that or I should go buy a MAC. Then I suspect that will end all these little problems when VDJ comes out with the mac version

tunebite seems to work so far... will test more tonight... no difference on mac... they have to be captured via video capture to dump the drm altogether....

I think i got it.. like I said, I'll post my findings later...

pain in the ass, but good for those one off videos in a pinch....

I think You'll find there steve that tunebite is only partially efective.

Cruise the tunebite support forum, lots of useres are experienceing the same as myself, lots of iTunes videos come off beat , and draggy sounding.

just a thought could they have put some horrible drm protection on it so it wont play?

Yeah it should. I think it has something to do with Macs not using a miserable failure of an OS called windows... you had to feed the bears didn't you Marcel? =P

They do,

Tunebite is a streaming video capture program that "converts" the vid to *.WMV format.

Trouble is that it locks VDJ up tighter than a nun's ___T when you play the vid. The only way the video plays is to disable hardware acceleration, and that's when the program locks. Otherwise it only plays the audio.

And Yes ConQuest We've been over this about the way I sign my posts - it was funny once - Stop whipping a dead horse, If you have a valid point; make it, (you usally do, I like arguing with you) otherwise it comes down to schoolyard teasing, and you're in your 30's and should have left the schoolyard behind 15 years ago

And I would consider changing platforms IF I have control over my money AKA who gets it for the purchase of videos.

promo only - snail mail, lots of vids I'll never use
iTunes - download and go, only vids I want.

Yeah, I posted that fact in the "User map down dor maintenance" thread (or whatever it's called.

mp3jrick asked me to give my long & lat coordinates so that he can fix it. Apparently I'm not the only one who has been displaced. =P

I'm in Orange County, just south of LA.

Hi all .... i have see u porpose to convert videos o other formats ... but i have more than 2000 .mp4 videos i cant see in VDJ im using a trial version and ist really importan to me to know if mp4 is a compatible format whit VDJ or not and ... if its compatible how i do or configure 4 see

Adition information ( i have k-mega codek cpak installed.... i tunes 7.01 installe ... quick time installed and all codecs related whit MP4)
Please really need help ..
