Hello Fellas..

I want some advice about hardware...not VirtualDJ itself.

I´m DJing with some friends and have a little problem.

My friends use 2 Pionner CDJ 200 and a Behringer 3 channel mixer.
(but i tried with other MIXERS and the same problem exists)
2 CDJs on each channel and my computer (VDJ+MK2) in another channel

The CDJs have more "power on sound" than the Hercules MK2 + VDJ
They are very loud in comparison with Hercules MK2 + VDJ

Is that normal ?

it´s "little things" like that... that i not believe 100% that Virtual DJ + MK2 is a professional way to mixing music.....

I´m not telling thats is VDJ fault... It´s sure that MK2 is not a "ideal" sound board.

For the people who uses Pionner CDJ 200 or 100 and a "professional" sound board at the computer....
This soundboard exists ? That "matchs" with a CDJ 200 in "loudness/power" of sound ?

ps: I´m playing WAVs in computer and make tests with the SAME music (on CD and ripped in WAV / FLAC). And using MP3 on computer and burning this mp3 on AUDIO format into a CD.... the same things happen...

Pioneer CD players play very loud, so the MK2 is not all that loud.
But still, its not that far behind either.

By default it is, but if you open Hercules control pannel, and turn both volum sliders to max (they are at 70% by default), the volume is a LOT higher. Almost at CDJ200s

Also, make sure VDJ too plays at good level/gain, so set VDJ auto gain to Always Zero, in VDJ options

That should work fine for you :)

Thnx for the answer...

I already changed the LEVEL BARS...

But the only thing that solves my problem is "LEVELING" down the CDJs on the GAIN in the mixer....

But....if i go to a place that another DJ is playing before me....
It´s not so good... For example... If this DJ set the GAIN to "Neutral" Position on a Behringer DJX 400 .... i have to roll the GAIN to the MAXIMUM...and so on...it´s not reach the leveL of a CDJ....

Another question...someone have better results using another "soundboard" than MK2 to reach a level of a CDJ or no soundboard beats it ?

Back when I had a HDC v1 I was frustrated by the lack of good signal volume comapared to the dual decks at the club I work at.

There is an audio effect that I used here: Inverse RIAA 1.0 (located in the downloads section on this site)

You have to turn the phono pre-amp on in the channel you want to use. This boosts the signal nicely and gave me the volume I was lookin for.

Limitations - samples sound awful.

If you don;t use samples much - have fun, if you use samples a lot - then this won't work you - won't be happy
