hello
I've got a SB Live! card but I don't know if it's 4.1 compatible. is it?
I ask cause I tried to set the prelisten thing to this card, but I didn't find out the way
If you help me that would be great (ye, I'm 100% sure there're many questions liek this, but I can't find em)

PD: my card has got 5 connections with different colors: Black, Green (speakers), Pink (microphone), Blue, Pink

yes it is try this

output :heaphones
card :sb live.
then assign the channels you want to use ie
headphones :(rear) black , speakers : green(main).

I tried it before and I tried it again but nothing, the prelistened soung still sounding but in the background

You have to go to control panel and in advanced options of sound device select 4 speakers or 5.1 mode.
