Tema: DAC3 Problem With Videos

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Could anyone who uses a DAC3, with videos please let me know if you are having the same problem as I am with mine.

The DAC seems fine when playing mp3s, or audio only tracks, but when videos are playing I find that some button presses don't respond. It's on a pretty random basis, but proberly one in 15 button presses don't seem to get passed to Virtual DJ. This is not limited to any particular buttons as I have had it happen on both cue's, Plays, loop (1 - 10) buttons and on the "Out" buttons.

I have tested the issue on another DAC3, and had the same result, so it's not a hardware issue with the DAC I'm using at the club. When first testing the second DAC at the shop the problem did not present it's self, so I presumed I had a faulty DAC3, but on loading two music videos, playing them, then randomly pressing the 1 - 10 loop buttons the second DAC also missed some button presses. On leaving the videos playing, but turning VIDEO off in config, the problem stopped, and all button presses were passed to VDJ.

This has been driving me nuts over the past few weeks with the new DAC3, mainly missing the CUE button presses (As Play and Cue are the two buttons I use most, Match being the third, and is was missing some of these button presses to). and left me feeling rather insecure while playing, as I don't know when it will work, and when it won't. It's most embarrasing when you use LOOP so you can do a voice over, hit OUT to exit the loop, and it doesn't exit! Sometimes I need to hit the buttons 4 times to get the action I require. I have also tried pressing the buttons longer, just in case I was hitting them too fast, but press time made no diffrence either.

I tried unloading the Boggis mapper, and had the same problem on both DACs there too, so it's not the mapper. And the default mapper was more painful because the pitch bend button give far too much bend when used.

To test this issue, load up two music videos, making sure that video is enabled. play both at once and just randomly hit the loop buttons (5 -10 for the Boggis mapper or 1 - 10 for the default). You can also try the play and cue buttons too, as the issue will present it's self there too.

Considering using the DAC2 never presents this issue, and my CPU usage sits at around 25% (3.2GHZ HT CPU) all night for both the DAC2 or The DAC3, perhaps the controllers need a little more processor time to catch ALL the keystrokes?

I tried this yesterday and the DAC-3 never failed to respond to loops or play/cue presses.
