A Man and His Music
My DAC 3 just stopped functioning. It was working fine for 2 plus hours, but then bam. The lights and display still work, but none of the controls function. I changed the cable, and no go. I' using JPs 1.4 mapper. Any ideas?

Can you start the player with the mouse Rick?
Friend of mine in Jamaica had this issue with a bad board usb connection.
Had to solder it and it was fine.
Try deselect, close, reopen and select again.

Did all that. Fortunately, I am very good with the mouse, but made a few mistakes, trying to use the controller. I forgot it wasn't working. I had to take the controller from in front of me, because I kept trying to use it. As I said before, VDJ kept working, and the display on the controller, an the lights also worked. It's just that none of the buttons or controls responded. I believe it may be the usb port, that it's worn out. I just replaced my motherboard, for the same reason. Plugging and unplugging, twice a day, 5 to 7 days a week, for almost three years(June). It takes a toll. I'm starting to use powered usb hubs, so they may last awhile. I'm home now, and guess what, it works. .
