They'd be talking about the best DJ software on the market.

There's probably many programs that come "close", but the last category says it all.

MIDI hardware controllers
If you're used to using real decks and a mixer, you'll know
that mousing around to turn virtual knobs is at best clunky
when compared to the quick access and tactile-lovin' sensation
of two-fisted knob-tweaking.While virtually all programs
let you control a lot of the features via the keyboard,
some programs let you use a midi controller to act
as your mixing board with customizable assignments for
each of the faders, knobs and buttons. If you're a handson
DJ, you'll want MIDI-control.
For the record, there is no mouse-driven software can
emulate scratches without sounding comically bad. If you
want to do mp3 scratching, you'll need hardware/software
packages like the much respected Final Scratch or Scratch
Live that use timecoded vinyl on real turntables. That said,
if you are particularly industrious, you might be able to do
some beat juggling with a few mouse-driven programs. But
don't expect to get to the DMC championships by doing
flashy mouse gestures under your leg and behind your
back...

And to illustrate who's NOT in the running, cough mixmeister cough OTS cough...

That's it for features. You may have noticed no mention of
automix here. Automix is basically a button that says "Hey
DJ program-I'm so uncreative that I need you to drag the
fader from one side to the other for me over a period of
X seconds." This is like someone giving you a paintbrush
that comes with a "paint a picture" button. It's not like it's
something you can't do yourself and anyway, why'd you
want to be a painter if you didn't like painting, or the occasional
mess that comes with it?
