why i love it.
1. Simple install no firmware changes needed
2. Much lower latencies achivable than on windows 1ms
3. Extremyl responsive
4. Virtual Dj mac is controled just like it would be on a pc with mk2
5. Video Stratching is fantastic qualtiy.
6. On weaker pa systems it used to buzz , no buzz!!?!!?!
note:
however it doesnt automaticaly prelisten to Deck A or B yet
you have to choose
headphones
4.1 card
1/2 MAIN 3/4 headphones
then set the Selector to A
and to listen to the deck you wish to press the PFL button for it or make ur self a keyboardshort cut.

The MK2 rocks on Mac.
Ever since December when the Mac driver was released for the Mk2 and I was able to use it with Traktor (I used to use Final Scratch so I have a license), I've been reporting about how the mk2 "flies" on the Mac and I suspected it would do so with VDJ Mac as well since we would be running VDJ on a much faster and streamlined OS, Mac OS X.
That is exactly what has hppened and sky is now verifying that.
Good stuff. =)

sorry to interrupt your party but I´m totally disapointed! Since the first time I heard about a upcoming mac version last year i checked this forum almost daily for a release date and even bought a mac for using virtual dj. Cause i´m a fan althouh it never worked perfect but i had the dream everything is getting perfect by the mac release! and now after enabling mk2 I can´t open the program anymore!!!! Error message "internal corrupt database"!! I changed the skin xml and even a new download and install didn´t solved the problem. Now I´m here with a console, TcV, two turntables, a highend mac and a lot of dj jobs to do and NOTHING works. " I had a dream" Please help

"it just works"
you could try renaming your database files and reinstall, (assuming OSX isnt so clever it stil links to the new filename) that should make VDJ create a fresh database when it is instaling and fix the database coruption
EDIT: also i think there is a database correction utility someone that can cure some of the more common forms of database corruption, have a look in the downloads section.
