Hi all - silly question, I've just dug out my timecoded vinyl for a play which I bought a couple of years ago when using vdj 3.x.
I've tried using them on latest version 4.3 and they seem to work fine, but I seem to remember reading (around the time 3.4 or 4.0 came out) that the timecode vinyl has been improved and you need new ones to take advantage of this?
My questions are : 1) is this the case? has the actual t/c vinyl been improved?, and 2) if so - whats the difference between that and the old stuff?
Just asking before I buy some new stuff. I'm not what you would call a serious timecode user (i have a DAC-3). But i do have two 1210's and a maya44usb not doing much :)

Since posting i've had a look around the forum and found out that 3rd Generation T/C Vinyl is the way forward.
I'm in the UK. If i order from the webstore will I get the 3rd Generation stuff?, or has that not reached Europe yet. Will there be some kind of announcement when we can buy it in the UK if not?

Come on - this is the BIGGEST SCAM ever!
A month (as in 31 days ago) the otherwise very fine and helpfull supporter dj-in-norway sent me a PM that they would ship me the 3rd gen timecodes, as I have been the most eager to point out just HOW terrible the 1st and even more so, 2nd gen timecodes was.
But nothing happens. I get no timecodes and no more answers to my messages. I think this SUCKS. I was actually just on my way out to buy Serato, when I got the wonderfull news about 3rd gen being sent to me. But what should I expect now? Yet another MONTH has passed, there´s NO news WHATSOEVER about the outside EU release of 3rd gen and I´m having a packed calender, with a Ministry of Sound tour gig amongst others. It´s really really REALLY frustrating.
They have told us that 3rd gen was ALMOST there since january. Now it´s april. What is soon in the world of Atomix?
Pretty please - with lots and lots of sugar on top - enlighten us and give us information as on when to expect 3rd gen to hit the f*cking streets!
