right click on a file and press properties should say so here

aslo you can check in the program you riped them in or the site they came from

Believe it or not but i clicked on a few of my mp3s and in properties it does not say if the MP3s are CBR or MBR. I checked winamp and music match and still nothing, music match is what i use to rip the MP3s.

Ok in music match, my music is not set up to rip using custom VBR. I have my MP3s Ripped at 160kbps. VBR or CBR are not selected. That is why both CBR and VBR are not showing up in the properties of the MP3s or when i play the MP3s it shows 160 or 128kbps. Can that be the reason why my music is not loading right?

SkyFXL, I check on the CBR conversion and what i found was my MP3 should have been ripped to CBR. There are only 2 ways to rip and that is VBR and CBR and my MP3s were not selected to be ripped at VBR rate. My MP3s are 160kpbs quality and i do beleive it is at CBR rate. Unless there is another way to check. Is there a better program to check to see if it is CBR or VBR? When i play my music in either Winamp or MusicMatch all it says is 160kbps and nothing else. What is recommended for cd ripping to MP3 and will it let me choose VBR and CBR? I use music match to convert my files but would to know what is better and user friendly because then i will have to do all my MP3s in that format (CBR) if it not not already done so. I have about 47gigs of music that i would need to convert. Thanx in advance

Ok Thanx, I submitted a ticket, do you recommend converting songs to 320kbps or should i leave them as 160? 320 would take up alot more space, would it really make a difference.
