Tema: increased analyse speed

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

though bpm is very important, it also slows down the analysing process.

if there was some kind of a way to ignore the "bpm", then vdj could analyse 70,000 files in only a few minutes.

some kind of options to ignore slow elements. such as this..

analyse method

1. data - captures data from files: artist, title, length, comment, disc, path (fast)
2. bpm - calculates bpm only" (slow)
3. full - bpm & data (slow)

Now that is a cool idea, I myself have had to add new Promo Only videos 15 min before the gig and that would be somethin that would work for me, I could then later go in and finish what I started. Great Idea.

adding songs to the search db on its own does that

ticking the tick box bpm does the full analize

not true,

the only information captured by adding files to the database is the full source path of the file.

"e:\music\rap\ying yang twins - culo.mp3"

artist is actually the first part of the file before the first dash ( - )
title is everything after the first dash.

that's it.

it takes timet to analize the bpm, but what about the length? why isn't there a way to get id3 info.
artist, title, comment, album, genre of all the files.

.. and then ... analize bpm.

id3 should be added soon

that's exactly my point.

it doesn't take much of the cpu to read id3 info.

the problem is virtualdj only reads id3 "title & comment" when analyzing the bpm & lelngth.

my suggestion is adding a feature to read id3 tags with out analyzing bpm.
