Tópico: MP4 file container and H.264 AVC codec Support

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

There is no reason why this shouldn't be included in Virtual DJ for Mac.

I have just been itching to convert from MegaSeg DJ to Virtual DJ for mac, but there are two thing stopping me, the first being the search bug... and the other being the lack of support for this next generation codec.

The H.264 codec is now the standard for Blu Ray and HDDVD, and is far superior to DivX... in fact DivX is just plain ugly once your used to H.264.

MegaSeg DJ works fine with H.264 AVC Video, and it is supported natively by quicktime. So why doesn't Virtual DJ support it?

I absolutely refuse to downgrade my videos, and I have no idea why anyone else would. Especially when more and more distributors are switching to it... not to mention when videos become avalible on next gen media, they will use AVC.

When these two issues are fixed, VDJ will see my 300 dollars. You can bet on that.

I think the majority of Mac users want h264 support. It a Mac thing that SHOULD be superior..

We're all waiting for H.264/AVC/AAC support. The format is ideal for video mixing. Also I'll correct you're original post, H.264 is not THE standard codec for Blu Ray and HD DVD, it is simply ONE of the formats ratified by the standard. There are a few others. The fact that HD DVD, Blu Ray and many broadcast HD are switching to H.264 is a testament to just how awesome this codec is. There will be many happy VDJ users once this format is supported.
