I'm having some problems with recording from the master + mic inputs. The actual input from the mic is recorded in the final mix, however I have problems with 4 channel and PFL.
When recording just from the master, everything is fine. I have a 5.1 card and use the main 'Speaker' output for master, and 'Rear' for my headphones. However when I record from the master + mic, I lose the pre-fader split - I have the volume fader for deck 1 turned down and on PFL, but it still plays through master. For some reason both the master and headphones play pre-fader. Any ideas why this is? VDJ stays like this even after recording is stopped, until I go into options and reselect my sound card.
Some info on my setup - I have a CMedia 5.1 card as mentioned above, and on-board sound. I don't use the on-board sound however due to it only being capable of one channel unless I use a mono split. I use the front output for master and rear output for headphones. I have the mic plugged into the 'mic' socket, but if I broadcast using Winamp's ShoutCast plugin, whether I use Line In or Mic as the second input, I get the same problem.
Really confused as to why this is. Some technical info from my sound driver:
---------------------------------
Chip Version: CMI8738 4 channel without SPDIF
Configuration: Line in & rear speaker output share the same jack
Microphone and subwoofer share the same jack
---------------------------------
The mic & swoofer sharing looks a bit ambiguous, but I looked in the system directory for the settings file concerning this (the driver software doesn't allow me to change it), and the jack settings are in a format I can't make any sense of.
Any help appreciated

I'm using the latest demo at the moment, 4.2r1 or whichever it is.
