With Itunes' newest software update, itunes releases "Itunes Plus" which allows you to download DRM FREE audio files and at a high bitrate (256). They dont have all songs of course but they are starting to finally get where it needs to be. Finally i can use itunes for virtual dj.

another thing - the songs are 30 cents more
but it will search the songs you have already bought and if there is an itunes plus version, it will tell you and you can upgrade for 30 cents... pretty convenient

sadly for french users there is a still a form of tagging only that user can play the song as the files have the user and email embeded in them
