i can't get the mk2 to work with vista. can anybody help? I'M HAVING A PROBLEM HEARING SOUND. HELP ME PLEASE

THE CONSOLE WORKS OK, JUST DON'T GET ANY SOUND!!! PLEASE HELP

uninstall the console
software and vdj
go to comtrol pannel and go to user acounts

add your self to the administrator group

then restart then reinstall

 
That will solve the direct x sound error also?

I'm already the administrator.....Is there something im missing?
 
Vista doesnt see it that way, you need to do what Sky said as just because you are the admin when u installed it, doesn't mean you are the admin all the time. I know it's strange.
 
i go to user groups.....the only option it gives me is for admin, or standard user. i'm already admin. or should i try standard user? but then i wouldn't have admin options?
 
ok just to confirm your using the 2007 driver package?
 
yep, now i uninstalled everything. now i can't get virtual dj to install it freezes up! It gets down to 2 seconds to finish installation then freezes...worked fine last night. You mean the driver package for hercules?

Yep, do u know y virtual dj won't load now? should install virtual dj first? then hercules? does it matter? i'm ready to throw my new laptop out of window!
 
herc first the software wont load without the console
 
did that. now virtual dj won't install at all............it freezes..
 
 
PROBLEM SOLVED!

Go to control panel then disable everything under sound and video controllers! Then plugin the hercules. worked fine after that! the sound cards were colliding giving me a direct x error!! The internal soundcard wasn't shutting down while plugging in the hercules...so i take it that it was trying to use all 3.
No problems after that! Works awesome!
