once I have my video recorded, am unable to see it. All i get is the sound and not the picture..

In the meantime, u could only recorded audio only ..no video yet ( this will be available in the next release, i hope so). If u wanna record video, u need to use other software , not in VDJ itself.:)

I mean .. once i stop recording from vdj. my windows media only plays the sound of the video.. no picture.. i thought maybe. i had to format or convert somthing

you could use video capturing software such as fraps.. and if u like to use this software, do purchase VDJ as you will benefit its full compabilities n utilities n free upgrades too:)
