Tópico: Crossfader...can it be set to stay in the middle?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

The crossfader can sometimes be frustrating!
So many times when it is crossfading, it loses the opening of the next song.

Example: "(I got you) I feel good".....James Brown The opening scream gets missed because of this fade in.

Is there anyway to set the fader so it STAYS in the middle & doesn't move?

Thank you!

Bill

You talk about automix? It will be improved in the next version.

The crossfader can be deactivated in the settings. So in fact it stays in the middle.

Yes in automix.
It can be de-activated?

How?

Config -> Options -> Crossfade [Disabled]

In "Automix", it does NOT disable/deactivate it.

Any other suggestions?

If you have the crossfader disabled in the settings as described above, then you may see the crossfader "move" with the automix, but it is not actually controlling the output of the music...it is simply a visual effect.

TRUE - you can not 'STOP' the skin from doing it's part. However, if you hit play on the opposite deck while the current deck is playing - you will get sound even if the crossfader is on the other deck.

Would the same thing work in Virtual DJ?

But it's still "fading in" to the next song. It's not a clean start.

Examples:

In the song "(I got you) I feel good" by James Brown it misses part of his scream at the beginning because it is "fading in"

Same for a tune like "All my loving" by the Beatles. By "fading in", It misses the opening lyrics of "Close your eyes..."

Can we get a clean start?

hi buddy,, u could use the adjust bpm features, there u will find the edit automix cue point. u can set it at the beginning of the song n the end of the song n edit the tempo too. And of cos disable the crossfader n i think maybe this is the closest of what u been lookin for:))
