Hello all,

as many of you that post here, im using VDJ with hercules for the last years, first mk1, now mk2... works fine but also as many im looking for a more pro-solution for my gigs and the club.

I also failed buying BCD2000 and sold it again in a month...

Now VCI-100 and Torq XPonent are out...so the decission is there. Im looking for use TCV with one of this controllers for my weekly live videoshoows with VDJ ad my laptop. I have read through the forums but still have lot of questions so perhaps some advanced TCV or audio card users may help....

1- How to use TCV with VCI-100? as it has no soundcard, we need one... which can be the best soundcard candidates? and how to connect VCI with turntables and PC?

2- Is possible to use TCV with XPonent? maybe we would need an audiocard althoug xponent was audiocard within... which one and how to connect? are wheels more confortable at top of controller?

3- which do you think that can be the more pro solution between VCI and Xponent? (price is also sensitive) and why?

i hope lots of posts can enter the debate as well as many solution configurations to help with the "perfect" dj solution... ;)

I have same questions, but I have read some post from users of the Xponent in the page of guitar center and they dont look very pleased.

My first choice is the VCI-100 and then the new one from Denon. Both brands made true DJ gear.

Thanks Ricardo...which SC would you use with VCI?

uh, many reads but no posts...it seem i had no success...
i wonder if there is no interest in the message contens or just no experience about the matter...
anyway, thanks for the try

Hello all,
This is my first post in the three years I've been using VDJ. I won the Torq Conectiv Vinyl and CD pack at the 2007 DJ Expo. I'm 42 and finally won something! Here is what I learned about Torq. After months of looking forward to buying the xponent, they couldn't sell me one at the show. The regional rep who said he would take care of me hasn't returned my call or email. I figured, well I have the conectiv, let me hook it up to my new Dell. I never had the ability to control my music this way. I thought it would be fun until I got my xponent. I couldn't get it to work and called tech support. After a 45 minute wait I was told Conectiv is NOT Vista ready. I asked about my dream machine the xponent and was told that too does NOT support vista. "The good news" he said, "other software works with conectiv and the xponent". After 4 hours of trying to get the damn thing to work with VDJ I gave up. Moral of the story, I'm 42 and still never won anything. I'm sticking with VDJ just because I trust it and it doesn't make me feel like a loser.

I think we may all be waiting for someone to get a clue. Allen/Heath Xone equip is great, but so is the $$$. So if the low to middle market is paying attention, the would be smart to bring a Pro-level setup similar to the Hercules MKII (soundcard/mixer/midi).

I'm in the same boat looking for a more "pro" controller than the MKII, but don't want to have to cart 2x the equipment to attempt it, or spend a fortune to do so.

But given the feature set of the two controllers mentioned, I would lean toward the Xponent for the wheels being away from the cross-fader, on-board soundcard, and more midi assignable functions. But I have not "held" either; and we all know "feel" is very important.

My 2 cents..
