Unfortunately, it for security issues... try to imagine that once the info into the first page of the website, especially if it the shared computer, would it be at risk as someone or others could peek n stole that..or u take a 5 min break to a toilet..Man all this is dangerous so the bottomline is, i think it for security purposes:))

Hmm.. yah it be betta to have the history page out again so that ppl could analysed themselves:)

What is the risk to SHOW version on first page, not to provide a download link ?
(not speaking about BETA for vip...)

hehe,, i guess he are talking about the serial number:) ...its not the version:P

Do you spend any time watching the flash video? It states in the flash -- Virtual DJ Version 5

I had flash disabled (as many other users).

Their loss...

I still think it's a good idea.

You could have a small box that reads "Latest Version: 5.x"

Many software webpages have that...

I'll add something :)

One month later... Didn’t you forget about us ? ;-)

I don't know about you, but browsing the web without flash is just like browsing the internet on a Motorolla V500. Why r u doing it?

Thinking of adding some sort of news ticker or at least showing the current version in plain text somewhere, havent forgotten it.
Just havent been on my top priority list :)

Almost all flash animations at the websites are only annoying advertisements (not here, of course). I need mainlly information, no movie show. For movies I have mediaplayer, or my TV. ;-)

True, to a certain point ;)

Flash is also used for (fancy) menus, for embedding fonts, and such...

So you might miss a few things if you disable flash, at least as for looks.

Most sites that embed flash, have alternative code made, so that the menu etc works for those who choose to disable flash though :)

(and that reminds me, so should this site.. need to make a static image where the flash banner is :)
