Hello everybody its TheTurk here watsup up?
I am still djing! but one day when i was playing around with my decks and mixer i realized that when i move the crossfader all the way to the left it didnt cut out the right deck music! then i tried playing with the CF SLOPE and put it the opposite of what i had it at which was set up for scratch djs... then i noticed this time it fades out... but i still had to play around with it a bit to make it cut out the right deck when i want to use for scratching ... i got it to work but it still doesnt work perfect because the noise still comes from the right deck when i have the crossfader all the way to the left, the noise from the right deck still comes in a little bit... but not too noticeable but still no good
anyways i put my nose near the crossfader to smell the inside a little bit and it smelled like it was burnt or fried or something.... it still works fine! and no smoke comes out but the inside smells burnt! i dont know why? should i get it checked out?
and the funny thing is when i put the crossfader all the way to the right to cut the left deck, it cuts out the music perfectly ! but i dont scratch as good with my left hand as i do with my right one....so the only problem is cutting out the right deck's music
And yes the volume controls all work and so do the gain and master and eqs only the crossfader sometimes doesnt cut out the right deck fully when i fade out to the left
and the type of mixer i am using is a Numark DXM03 and i bought it new from tom lee sometime last year

Do you have kill switches?? I had the Numark DXM09, and I can say that I will never buy another Numark Mixer! I had the same issue, it seems that it was a kill switch that wasnt making correct contact.

oH yeah its a Numark DXM03 and the crossfader is replaceable but im wondering if the crossfader is causing the problem or is something causing the problem?
