This might help to those who have problems with Mac Pb. There seems to be a Problem with Speed stepping and osx wich makes them perform
very bad.The solution is coolboock a program for mac.There are different threats in the Ableton Live Forum .If you search for coolboock or
santa rosa chipset you will find all the answers.
Also interristing the comparison with Intels Quadcore 6600. It Performs much better than Mac.
In one thread the Users where asked to do a test on their platforms and the only mac that could compeete was the dual xeon which is very expansive. I was interristing because I use both programs and look for the best way to route VDJ through Ableton live where there seems to be a way under OSX but not under XP.
