Hello,

I am a lightjock in a club in the UK (capacity 650ish) - I am also a bit of a bedroom dj! (Not good enough for public ... yet!!).

Anyways, I am trying to put together an intro for our club - traditionally the DJ himself makes these with Numark Cue (which I have just bought) but I am really struggling for (a.) inspiration and (b.) Loops and Samples!!

I have downloaded just about every sample on here but just cant seem to get it right!

So, my questions:

Does anybody make this kinda thing that would be prepared to give me some guidance (I need to create something dramatic and slightly over the top as the punters collect in the minibar until 11pm when the doors are rolled back into the club!!)...

~ and ~

Does anybody have a good source for free loops/samples? (I am specifically looking for a robotic countdown: 5,4,3,21...)

the best samples for Dj are from Master mix series called dj fx they have all kinds of countdowns and fanfare entrance
this kind of thing hope that helps to edit use a free program from audacity just download it dead easy to use

Years ago I got a collection from www.asoundimage.com . They do custom DJ drops, closers, openers, enhancers, and so on. I use some every so ofter. I've even had one that sounds like a Mastercard commercial that promoted my DJ business for weddings.
 
 
 
 
 
I go to sampleswap.org for samples but some of them arent mp3 and wont play in the samples section of vdj,i use acid music studio to convert them and starting to use samples to make my own stuff using the tables and sample setion of vdj
