I am researching the best card to run video on my 8x AGP machine (2.2ghz & 1gig Ram).
There use to be a old guide which has since been removed (as in didnt cover PCI & PCI express) but since mine is an agp machine
it would be ideal. has anyone got a copy, and or some advice on what to look for.

Back in the day I ran an old ATI Radeon 9550 without issues on an old P4 2.4 ghz. I am sure there are better out there now but I dunno as I use PCI-E.

Thanks for your advise ive managed to get hold of a second hand XFX 7600GT 256MB DDR3 AGP which after studying the posts esp. dj cyder should do the trick.

That is a good card and it should work good for video since it has fast ddr3 memory.
