With 5.1 it's on by default using the low quality setting and there's no way in the default skin to turn it off.
It's a big mistake IMHO because with this setting, sometimes beats and hi-hats are skipping and the music can sound really strange and off. The problem is aggravated by the way that there is no way is the default skin to turn it off, you have to manually bind a key which may be over the head of new users.
I'd recommend the team to turn it off by default for the next version.
