it doesn't get any more annoying then having to find a file is in mono only half way through the song.
it would be nice to know how many channels each song is.
just add an icon "S" =2 channel stereo; "M"= 1 channel mono
is good.. no??

I don't think VDJ needs this indication.
The DJ should check all the music he uses before playing it, to verify if the quality is good, and if it is in stereo.

but sometimes..songs manage to slip away.
it's similar to the the kbps. most of them are either 128 or 192. it's nice to know. and puts me on guard when mixing between the two.

that's nice.. but do you really expect us all to check EACH AND EVERY file before loading??
my main concern is to always have sound output for both speakers.
if it's mono, and i know it's mono, then i switch to mono on my mixer, or simply not play that song.
if vdj can recognize songs in mono and play it as stereo that would be great.

If the file is encoded in mono, this means the stereo output from your soundcard
will be fed with identical left and right signals. If you experienced sound coming
only from one of the speakers, the file might have been encoded in stereo but one
channel had silence.
VDj reproduces mono mp3 files correctly from my experience.
However it would be nice if all file info would be accessible in browser columns
(Fileformat is missing). It might be possible to gain access to it via registry edit?

I'm still waiting for VDJ to implement a mono/stereo switch within in the software. I hope to see it in the next update.
