give a piece of software called 'SPLITCAM' a try
its main purpose is to share a web cam between applications, but it set up a 'virtual camera device'
then within the splitcam main program, insted of selecting a webcam, there is an opton to play an mpeg file (with audio)
then in your messenger program, just open the webcam option and direct your messenger to the splitcam device.
