I believe it, but I'm relatively new here so I guess you're hearing old words from a new user who's an old school DJ.

Did you not read the thread before posting ?? It's not currently available for Numark VV or Numark CUE users to download. It's a Numark branded product ... even if you do get it from here we can just 'release' something under their name with out them saying OK ... right ?
YES, sorry, ima slow learner, quit laughin at me. and like Rudedogg said "I was told that we would get the same benefits whether we bought online or in the store. I realize it isn't VDJ's fault but on the other hand we are in your Arena now and left in your care, possibly orphaned by Numark, so now you are our surrogate caretaker so I'd say we deserve to be treated better than a red headed stepchild!"
So really you cant blame us for asking, we were told that. Sorry if i was misinformed.
thanks for your time

Hey rude, I feel you pain! I have that feeling as well but can't do anything for about a weak. Cue users won't get any answers / responses from Numark until around that time. I've had mine for a couple of years so it's another investment if I had to but don't want to spend any cash at this time.
I guess we will see in about a weak!!!

I think this is quite fantastic!
Some of you sit calmly and say it will take a week to get the upgrade from Numark.
That is there to say you that you will see any upgrade ever again on Numark Cue??
I too agree with “Dj Rude Dogg”, we don´t see any future plans that Numark and VDj as partners, we only see more and more signs of the opposite.
How come we don´t get any info from Numark on upgrade on the way?? At least they by now know if they will upgrade or not!
How come I get e-mail from VDJ that VDJ have upgraded their software to 6.0 then I only use Cue?? Is this a way to try to fish for new customers?
There is more to this then you at VDJ let us know!! Someone holding you mouth??
I now also understand that I pay more for Cue then VDJ. That is also understandably as it is 2 companies that like to get paid and also a new skin and so on for the cue users.
But in this price, have we cue users already paid for the VDJ software?? I might think so!
Or at least the most part of it!
I might missing facts on the partnership between the VDJ and Numark but please Cue or numark fanatics or staff prove me wrong!
Have anyone seen any sign of a relese on upgrade to CUE 6.0??
Otherwise, with a discount from VDJ they can see me as a new customer soonest!
You have my e-mail so give me a offer that I can´t say no too!
Now then I know who is behind the cue program I´m not afraid to switch side…
Seams like Numark don´t care!

Nope, I'm sorry, this sucks. Everyone, like myself, who owns Numark CUE can continue being shafted by Numark (who I've tried to be a loyal customer of for many years) and simply say it's down to waiting for them to 're-brand' this update. But, frankly, it's more evidence that, as a company, its post-sales service is fucking ridiculous.
I've worked in a DJ shop and kept ties with the old place - try having a conversation about their service department and their turnaround times without the whole thing descending into a rant. And everyone I've spoken to agrees that the whole re-branding of their product line is a joke - an attempt to bring tired old stock in line with new digital product that, down the line, will see the same support we've seen evidenced here. Those who've seen how Numark treat their customers are very cautious about jumping onto the NS7 / HDMIX / Omni-Control bandwagon (the Omni-Control. by the way, that has been sat gathering dust in my living room since its release due to lack of Numark CUE support. And, no, a fucking MIDI map wasn't going to cut it. Fair play to the guy who put that together but, frankly, it shouldn't have to had to be put together piecemeal.)
And now we have to wait a week or so, apparently, for our upgrade. Someone else put it best, Numark CUE owners are second-rate customers round here. If they don't pull their finger out, I'm defecting.

The upgrade cost to VirtualDJ Pro from Numark branded version is $49 ... so if you don't want to wait on Numark or just want to get out from under that umbrella for other reasons ... it a much smaller cost than some of the alternatives, right?
It's your choice, we have tried to make it as easy as possible to reduce the frustrations that some have expressed ...
Visit the buy page here ( http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/ ) and scroll to the bottom for the upgrade section enter your serial in the box and click Continue ..

There seems to have been some misinformation and misunderstanding here. When I looked at buying VDJ, one of my friends runs a large company who are Numark UK distributors. I asked at the time the "difference" and was told that VDJ and Numark Cue were exactly the same apart from the box. Nothing about later updates, not supporting certain controllers etc. I believed rightly or wrongly that VDJ were using Numark to distribute and that was it. I went down the VDJ route, but I can't understand why Cue users have to pay $49 to "upgrade" when I personally was led to believe I was already buying the full VDJ product in a Numark box?
Two of my DJ colleagues have licenced versions of Cue and have already called me today as they can't understand why they would have to pay when they thought they already had the full version. I explained what's been said on here already but they're still confused. I just told them to wait for Numark to authorise the update. What's a week between friends ......

Just to restate what has been stated here on this site from day 1 about the Numark branded products called CUE and VirtualVinyl --- they are a branded and distributed version based on the VirtualDJ technology. Hence the products are nearly the same - but different as seen in prior releases some things didn't make the Numark brands. What someone at another site or store told you we have no control of - but they are NOT the same (identical) product - they are 2 distinctly different products.
When it comes down to Who? has the responsibility to their branded product - part of the branding is that the users of the Numark brand would be able to register here and take advantages of the site's offerings, but it's would still be in Numark's control as to the branding releases. This also has been demonstrated in past releases where VirtualDJ released then the other brands after that - but not simultaneous.
The option to 'upgrade' or 'crossgrade'; what ever you want to call it? - change to VirtualDJ brand - has been made available. It's an option and the user's choice if they want to get out of from under the other branding - that is all.

I think giving 30-day trial version of new VDJ to frustrated Numark Cue users would certainly help to avoid frustration during rebranding periods.

Anyone having any proof on that it will be a CUE 6.0 upgrade or are we waiting for nothing??
Mensajes Mon 01 Jun 09 @ 9:16 am
guys.... you seem not to be listening
Yes you paid for CUE - Numark controls these update releases of CUE - VDJ does not
Yes iit is unfair that you have to wait - but you have a CUE problem - hence a Numark problem - not VDJ
how long till CUE updates... dont know... only Numark can answer that question - not VDJ
All this may sound like red tape %$@$%@ - but certain things follow protocol
Outcome - continue to complain, continue to wait, guess every CUE upgrade from now on you will have to wait... problem will still be there
Solution - cross grade from CUE to VDJ - of course it costs $49 - at least no wait, less complain. (at least the its an offer)
Whatever you choose is your decision. Choose wisely....
now that is a good question - and does this not influence your decision guys?

I think people are listening ..... things are a bit clearer now. I personally understand the situation thanks to the post from Chris above. I will feed that back to my colleagues.
People MAY have assumed rightly or wrongly that Cue and VDJ were the same thing, which they are not. This is good information, and anyway $49 to crossgrade for a working DJ is not a big deal IMO.

I think youy guys are wasting your time waiting for cue 6.0.
I have noticed that all the latest numark digital dj products are coming supplied with traktor or mixmiester software.
I myself spoke to numark when i brought my Numark Dj In a box. It was surposed to come with cue software and the cue faceplate for the total control but when it arrived it only came with traktor and traktor faceplate.
So i rang the shop i brought it from and gave them my piece of mind and they told me
"we only list on our website the info we get from numark so it is there fault they have changed the package with telling us" so i had to ring numark myself.
After a 30min arguement with numark they agreed to send me the cue software for free and the cue faceplate.
Since that day i have not seen any numark digital dj hardware come supplied with cue software only Traktor and Mixmiester which in my opinion suggests that numark will no longer use cue for there products.
So work the rest out for yourselves

Presumably Atomix will have to supply the coding to allow Numark to update Cue. Maybe one of the Atomix reps here will be able to let users know if Numark have been notified of the update and whether they will be getting the code. There may be commercial issues here so don't be surprised if this information is not supplied immediately.

ANY info would be appreciated. Someone must know in Numark has intentions or not to release the upgrade.

I would give consideration to buying VDJ and cutting your losses.

Bah! Humbug, I'm still smarting over this whole thing and not ready to part with more money to make myself feel better, actually parting with more $ wouldn't make me feel any better. I feel betrayed. They can keep V6, for now I've got 5.2.1 and Serato SL 1.9 as well as Traktor Scratch Pro and a couple other programs. They don't stack up against VDJ but I guess this is the time to familiarize myself with these, I paid for them.
