Why wouldn't you put this in a blog so you could easily put other pictures of you mobile system?
Mensajes Tue 29 Mar 05 @ 10:55 pm
because no one reads that :) and the screen is painted over because I post on a lot of differnt fourms and didn't want any software wars starting :) and yes vdj is running in that picture.

Can the jog wheels in dac be used for scratching?
Mensajes Wed 30 Mar 05 @ 6:23 pm
Your system definitely looks Professional Cyderhouse. I think some DJs overlook the appearance aspect of DJing.

Dac wheels for scratching yes...but timecode is better.
Double oo I coudn't agree more, I get so sick of seeing laptops just thrown around in dj setups I wanted something truely unique and no visable wiring to make it all work.

cyderhouse could you write what are the components (configuration) of this mobile system please.
Mensajes Wed 30 Mar 05 @ 11:19 pm
Sure no problem
Lets start with the computer
Its a p4 3.0@ 800mhz fsb
2 gig's of pc3200 ram (muskin my favorite next to ocz)
I'm using a asus p4p800-vm micro atx motherboard
I have a total of 4 drives in the system a pair of 300 gb maxtors and a pair of 120 gb maxtors the system sees 5 drives because I divided the system one in half.
I'm using a 500 watt full size atx power supply that I made a custom harness for.
It also has one lite on dvd rw
Cooling is done with 3 fans 1 120 mm fan in the front and to 80's in the back front to back cooling.
The monitor is a samsung 152n 15 in lcd monitor
the mixer is a cheapy i found on ebay for 25 bucks
and of course the dac2
the case is an skb dj shuttle also bought from ebay.
the keyboard mounts were custom made its a pair of drawer sliders the keybord is directly mounted to.
The stock case was too long to fit inside the shuttle so I had to cut 4 inches off the back and re work the inside mounts. I'll snap a few pics next time I have it all apart.
I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Your comment illustrates your professional perspective of DJing—having a professional image is very important. I can’t believe some of the systems I’ve seen depicted with cables running all over the place. With a little creativity, many cables can be concealed as you have clearly shown.
