Before any of you laugh, and say "why the hell would you want to do that?" - hear me out.
I run 3 different systems in a large club setting. Since I only have 2 hands, and 10 fingers, I've realized the need to map a couple of keys in VDJ that will intiate a "timed" crossfade (1 to 2, and 2 to 1), and do it without further intervention from me.
Something like"
"Crossfade deck_1 to deck_ 2 6%" (where the 6% would mean to do it over the course of the next 6 seconds)
Is there a way already to do this?
Let the laughter begin . . . . . now.
Thanks, Doug

video_transition 6000ms == activates the video transition and moves from the current side to the opposite side over a duration of 6 secs.
I have setup my Shift+[number] keys to the following:
Shift+1 = SLAM (video_transition 10ms)
Shift+2 = 2 secs (video_transition 2000ms)
Shift+3 = 3 secs (video_transition 3000ms)
Shift+4 = 4 secs (video_transition 4000ms)
Shift+5 = 5 secs (video_transition 5000ms)
Shift+6 = 6 secs (video_transition 6000ms)
Shift+7 = 7 secs (video_transition 7000ms)
Shift+8 = 8 secs (video_transition 8000ms)
Shift+9 = 15 secs (video_transition 15000ms)
Shift+0 = 30 secs (video_transition 30000ms)
Last two sound outrageous, but try them :)

Cstoll: Love it..... but...
It transitions the video, but the audio remains that of the source deck.
Any command to hook 'em together?
My "Video Crossfader Linked to Audio Crossfader" option is checked.

You can supply a time parameter to auto_crossfade too in exactly the same way as above :)

SBDJ - You rock! Works like a charm. And if you're the same SBDJ who authored the scrolling text feature, you're my hero. LOL.
(I have a lot of fun with that feature....)
