My whole argument plain and simple is that too much time is spent on trying to add controllers into the software but not enough time is spent on making the existing high end controllers better in terms of manipulation.

This is where you are incorrect though; adding support for a new controller often literally takes minutes and is done by one of the team of guys who handle controller mapping - thus not tying up the guys who do the core coding as you seem t be implying.

It's often problem controllers with new features - like motorised platters for example - that create more work. It doesn't help when those controllers themselves aren't fantastic...

Guys, on the shirts...
It's been my experience at the shows that shirts go with new pro copy sales.

Well I bought a copy from your stand and didn't get a free tee shirt.....walks off into the corner and sheds a tear. :(

Next show we're gonna feature free Virtual Dj kleenex tissues.
With 110 per box, we're sure to have plenty.

Yeah, I'll probably get told I can't have one.

[shrug]

One wouldn't have been enough, you'd have gone through a whole box since Sunday.

Groovin you complain ALOT.........dude it was a free shirt. They are not obligated to you. Where do get this sense of entitlement from?? Can someone just charge the shirt to me and send him 1?? Then send me a box of those kleenx cause im laughin so hard im cryin!!

Sobbing uncontrollably

there where thousands by thousands at the show ..
we had 300 t-shirts.. do the math, not everyone could get one :)

We tried to even them out for all days, and of course also give priority to those that bought the software there :)

If not all of you got one, we're sorry.. I refused NOONE that asked.. but we also tried not to keep them out in the open, so that not all 300 t-shirts went away first hour :)

Anyways, just a t-shirt.

That's the way things get heard. If I say nothing, they won't know there was a problem!

Yeah it should have been - but I was refused to even pay for one!

That's the point I'm making. The Atomix staff member in question was clearly in the wrong for saying I couldn't have one.

No one from Atomix appears to care about that...

Well how about all the other people who had no problem whatsoever getting a free shirt?

Yes I know it's "just a shirt" but my problem is with being refused when others were not.

Simples!

I dont know what teamer refused you a t-shirt .. guess he was stressed out with all the people asking ;)
(it was a VERY popular item, along with the stickers ;))

I for sure refused noone.. and I got a couple here... PM me your address and I'll send you one ;)

Well, I personally think that to have a t-shirt is not matter of life.
What I can suggest to you, if you consent it, is to order it by using this website or, in the case you don't want to spend money, wait for the next show.

Just my two cents.

My personal experience at the show was great. The guys were having a few busy moments for sure, and handled it all VERY well. Considering it was a last minute decision for VDJ to appear there, I think they did a great job!

As for complaining about not getting freebies, I can only say that it must have been a busy time or something as I saw them freely handing out stuff on both Friday and Saturday...

For me, the show was about seeing new hardware and meeting the guys behind this amazing software, not about the free stuff I could come away with... and I have to say they are a great bunch of people, very friendly and comical with it!! It was great to finally meet the guy who sits behind the VDJ radio site, keeping the cogs turning too.. dj-in-norway *salute* ;)

I will be returning next year for sure!!

Man, I paid $299 for this program years ago and have not received a t-shirt or a star yet..... Can you send me out a box of tissues? lol

Do the tissues have the Virtual DJ logo on them? Can I have??

I figure they would have the VDJ7 logo on each tissue and come 99 to a box. But they won't be giving them away anywhere.

I got a sticker and a VDJ hat and I did not even make it to BPM!!!

I just clicked products, then goodies, added a couple of items to the cart, paypal and BAM!!! Goodies on the way!!

Here you go...

Djay_7 gets it

Material things are not what you come away with from these shows.
And, you get out what you put in starting with attendance.

@Phantom, I knew somebody was going to do that....but it wasn't going to be me...lol

For your information I was there as an exhibitor, working on stand F50 (I mentioned this on the forum before the show) - not to grab as many free things as I could.

As I said in the first place, I asked if I could buy a shirt. If you check, you'll also see that I posted here (before the show) asking Atomix if they could bring some merchandise to buy...

you should have gotten a t-shirt if you asked nicely ;) of course
I gave to every single one that did ask...

(we had the t-shirt most of the time hidden, so that not 100's would ask first hours and t-shirts be all gone first day)

anyways if you feel treated wrong, just pm me your address and I'll send you a t-shirt :)
