Another major bonus is the ability to play a client's CD or flash drive without the worry of contracting a virus on your computer.

And that their was the MAIN reason I went with the MixDeck plus I'm not rich, lol!

Long live the MixDeck.......

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! This is what I have been waiting and asking for, along with Huey, lol. Glad I have not yet pre-ordered anything yet, because this may just get my money!!!!

Blah... call me picky but I'm just not sold on it.

They've dropped the ipod dock? I thought that was a good thing. Would have been nice if they just added tempo control plus the midi.

Problem I see is that there isn't enough midi buttons or a proper midi section to control effects and the parameters. This actually looks like what I've currently got minus all the wires and I've had my setup for the last 4-5yrs.

The problem with the effects is that you can really only control one at a time and you have to scroll through them using the flick switch which is pretty gay. IMO 4 channels is over rated as well. After playing on my bro's MC6000 I find you start default to 2 decks after the initial fun of playing with it.

Anyways thats just me... disappointed the ns6 has dropped the rotating platters and now the the mixdeck has dropped the ipod dock. I'm sure theres heaps of people that will buy this still.

I love, at least the idea and want to use one first, that I can have CD/MP3 backup, I still will never fully trust just a computer plus the midi so I can use it for video, USB inputs and 4 channels so I can have something else hooked up if I want. All in a compact alll in one unit, my current case is big and heavy as hell.

Mixdeck Quad overview

Would love to try this thing out, but I wish they would post a video of someone actually using it, lol! I know its not "Pro" gear but us broke guys like to watch new toys in action also.

pro enough for me. I want it after 18 years in the business...

Curious to see if it ships with the boom mic shown in the video as it's an unorthodox piece of equipment.

Thanks Tear Em Up! Not a very commonly used component in these parts I guess.

Edit: After searching Canadian online music stores, 2 models of gooseneck mics are available and order only. PSSL has a great selection.

looks like the gooseneck is making a comeback. Anywho, after having the mixdeck for a couple of weeks i can say that i'm sure its 4-channel brother won't dissapoint, although its quite a bummer that the iPod dock is out... oh well!

I think there is an external channel in that can handle Ipods and Ipads, the dock on the mixdeck as you know if you have been using yours much is pretty limited.

yeah i know, most of the time the cover is on the dock...

On the new mixdeck you will have the ability to use apps and more with Midi Control.

so sky, does it charge the iPhone/iPod as it's connected? how does it connect?

Yes, it connects via a special cable we provide. There is an optional stand for the iDevice which is also included. This clips onto the unit.

I can't wait, if they want to send one for me to test, I will even pay some money lol, I would test the hell out of a mixdeck quad.

Looks Nice!! Is this ALL Midi or like its Mix Deck can be used as a analog mixer? I was thinking of getting CDJ 900's but if this thing is what I want in a all one rig!!! I will defintly get this!!

Nice improvments to this unit. I hope that this mixer wont be as noisy.I eliminated every possible component trying to lose that slight hiss..
narrowed it down to probably the mixer itself or the sound card inside. The Denon mc6000 I just picked up is so quiet...if it werent for the lights
on this thing I would forget its on.
It does look sweet though..Nice job Numark!

it needs some more in there like plug a lcd screen, hard drive, effects, two 5 inc screen for A & B to display track info
