The version that was released last week, v7.0.5, appeared to have some problem with some old Promo Only videos with bad encoded dates, that could cause VirtualDJ to crash to desktop on Windows.
So, we just released a fix, v7.0.5b (PC only), that just addresses this particular problem.
If you are on Windows and are playing videos, especially old Promo Only videos, you should redownload and reinstall this new build.

would this same issue/crashing be causing VDJ to crash when scanning for bpm on promo only videos? never had the issues while playing them - but did while scanning them.

I'm experieng a problem with some M4v karaoke videos that don't render the image, it just splashes colors on screen, but what I did was load the same video from the browser to deck two and played, once the image rendered in deck two I faded back to deck one and it started rendering the image on the extended monitor.
I've had these videos for years and haven't had problems with them before...
I had no crashes at all in 7.05...

I tried one of the videos I had submitted that was causing this issue and also numerous others and this fix seems to have solved the issue. Thank you for working on this so quickly. I tried various mp4, mpg, mpeg, flv, vob and m4v files. Everything played just fine except the m4v, which I don't think has ever played. I tried several zip karaoke files too and all seems fine. Thanks again!

I downloaded 7.0.5 A with no problem now when I try 7.0.5 B I get
"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version connot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove programs on the control panel."
Why am I seeing this? I have never had to uninstall VDJ for any other update?

That's because it's the same version number (7.0.5) and it's a limitation of Windows Installer, which keeps only 3 numbers in their database for versions.
You just need to do what the message says: uninstall VirtualDJ (but keep the settings when it asks so at the end of the uninstall), then reinstall 7.0.5b.
Don't worry, all your settings and databases will be kept as long as you ask so during uninstall.

Help Help Help! im using 2 unit of denon dnhs5500 ..i cant get it right when in midi mode(30 min vdj 7.0.5 trial)..it happen when the spinning platter is on... unstable pitch n the beat either start off too fast or too slow when i press play, i had follow the denon midi setup guide but it still don work on my set.. tis is why i still running in Home edition n dare not to upgrade to vdj 7.0.5.. pls help i really love vdj tks,,,
