Tópico: MC6000 In ASIO Mode (Final word) - Page: 1

Esta parte del tópico es antigua y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I remember a lot of people with this controller were unable to get it working in ASIO mode (with any reasonable latency settings) including me.

I'd like to know if anyone managed to resolve this and how?

Secondly to the team, maybe with the new sound engine we may expect better results? Given that this issue is less notorious with Traktor.

The 48khz sample conversion for example.

Please also respond if you've still be unable to get your MC-6000 working in ASIO mode.

Thanks,

It's not resolved to the best of my knowledge, however I believe the 44.1 to 48khz issue will be addressed in V8.

Last time I contacted support the solution was to use Asio4all which is not a solution at all.

Would be nice to get an official word on this as I have had this controller since December 2010 and can't use Asio as no matter what I try on multiple machines it crackles and eventually loses the audio completely. The guys on the Denon forum just blame everyone's PC for not being up to spec or configured properly.

Keith

Same here Keith, I lose audio completely after some time, and yes you're right about the Denon guys.

Well the last time it went out on me, it was at 2/3 volume and it sounded like I blew a speaker off the stand with distortion on my left channel only.
Since then, wdm has worked fine for me.

I use ASIO with my MC6000 and have never had this issue. Even after 8 hours straight of playing.

Can you take a screen shot of your settings, Soundman, and post it here? I'm sure others would appreciate that.

Yeah, WDM is perfect but Denon recommend using the Asio drivers. Not really an issue unless you scratch but it does need resolved for those it doesn't work for.

Keith

I've also been using mine with the Denon ASIO drivers since day one without any of these types of issues. I'll try to remember to snap some photos of settings next time I'm set up. I run in two deck, internal mixer mode if that matter to anyone.

Same here, I have an annoying loop problem : it mutes. And One Time I Used the Filters High & Low and the sound was cracking on the left deck.

If anyone can tell us how to solve those problems, it'd sure be awesome :D

This is why I stuck to the RMX, I got tired of buying stuff and it not working properly.

Hello Im wanting to buy the mc6000 untell I see this thread can I get more detail on this problem

See if you can find someone in the neighborhood to try it on your PC.
With every controller there are always some users that got trouble but the majority is able to run it proper. It doesn't mean you are going to have problems too.

I've got a W7 laptop with a dual core Intel 1.6 GHz, 4 gig RAM (and a 4 GB SD-card in ReadyBoost) and a GeForce 8400 videocard with 256 MB dedicated RAM and I can run the MC6000 in ASIO. The only problem is video (can only run 720P and lower, and running 2 clips will make video out not as smooth as it should be, but that's not strange with the specs of the videocard)
CPU-load is high (30 - 45 % and peaks up to 99% on loading songs) but it never affects my sound output. I'm able to run 6 / 7-hour gigs without a hickup.
I'll try to transfer some pics from my gig-laptop to my desktop-PC and post them too.

I have used the 6000 since its release on day one and no significant issues (other than a little less than perfect latency issue) no pops or cracks. no dropouts. Try dropping your asio setting to 6ms - that may help.

My next gig is on Tuesday night - Ill get a screenshot for ya

For the guys with no issues on Asio ..... can you please try playing a ballad with a soft intro and confirm it's totally crackle free?

Cheers

Keith

I resolved the crackles problem : you have to hit "Ultra-latency ASIO" in your soundcard configuration window to get rid of crackles.

But I'm not sure my dropouts problem is solved, I changed latency to 3ms with "Ultra-latency ASIO" ON. We'll see if it keeps working ;)

I've run mine on several laptops using asio and have never had this problem. I'll try to remember to cap my settings screen next time it's out...

I also gave up on the ASIO drivers. WDM is crackle free, and scratch latency improved tremendously when I made the switch. I find it interesting that so many people are not having sound quality issues when using Denon's ASIO drivers. I never had any dropouts, but I would constantly have to restart due to faint crackling sounds.

Keith,

I've been testing when things go wrong and when things improve.
I took in Config/Performance Latency out of auto-mode and used that to select different ASIO-latencies. To be sure I set the latency in the ASIO-setup to the exact same values. ASIO-driver is 2.22. Testsong: Bread - If :s
2 ms: crackle
5 ms: crackle
10 ms: Crackle-free, also with 720P-video.
Different USB-cables (Belkin High-speed, standard MC6000, common USB-cable): No differences

Laptop: HP DV9680ED, 1,60 GHz Intel Pentium dual-core processor T2330, 4 GB DDR2, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
4GB SD-card as ReadyBoost, 60 GB Intel SSD.
Setup in Config / Performance: Safe Mode: on, Scratch: Optimized for Latency, Master Tempo: Adanced stretching, both skin resizing and 48 kHz-resampling on Fast.
MC6000-setup: Int. mixer, PC, Rec. Out on ch. 1/4. Channel-setup: 1 and 4 on Aux (are in use with a Numark D2 Director), 2 and 3 on MIDI.

Hope this helps.
Martin.

Safe Mode doesn't change anything when you're using ASIO drivers.

So you don't need to have the Ultra-latency ON ? I'm kinda suprised, since I need it to get rid of those annoying crackles...

10 ms is a bit high, I'm sure you can switch to 4/5 ms with Ultra-latency ASIO activated. Since I love live remixing/live mashups that need well done hot cues/loops, I can't take a 10 ms latency, too high, even with Ultra-latency ASIO on.

Let's see if I can get back to 1ms latency with Ultra-latency ASIO on without any problem (muting/cracking loops, muting/cracking sound for no reason when using effects, cracking AND lagging sound when unstopping an effect AFTER pressing Stop on the previous song...) in VDJ8.

The Dennon ASIO DRIVER is SHIT at all !!!!!!!They should programm a new one!!!!!A big SHAME for such a company :-(
