Tema: Mono Splitter Help

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

So I recently got Virtual DJ Pro and I've been having problems trying to split my headphones and speakers, as I'm sure all beginners do. I ordered a Y adapter last night from Amazon to split the two connections (as seen here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047T79M2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). However, after reading more in depth on the subject, I noticed I'll need a mono splitter as appose to a Y adapter. So my question, before I order another wrong adapter, is which of these is the correct cable? Thanks in advance.

P.S. If anyone has a better suggestion I would love to hear it. Thanks again.

First, if you have purchased VirtualDJ Pro, then please register your Pro serial number to your account http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

Otherwise, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html (Especially if you are working DJ and are making money as a result of using it at your gigs.)

Using a Y-splitter cable will only give you mono sound. For high quality stereo master output and headphone pre-listening, you should preferably use a proper dedicated multi-channel DJ sound card such as Numark DJIO, especially if you are playing live gigs.

Alternatively, you could use two separate sound cards, e.g: Laptop's built-in sound card for master output an a simple USB stereo sound card for your headphones.

For further details, please read our FAQ pages on this subject: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Pre-listening%20with%20headphones.html

NOTE: Neither of the two options above are correct. They first splits a single mono RCA output to two identical outputs. The second splits a stereo 3.5" headphone output into two identical stereo 3.5" headphone outputs (To allow two users to listen to the same signal using headphones.) If you still wish to use the mono Y-splitter option, search for 'DJ splitter cable' to find the right sort of splitter, e.g: http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-GC20007-DJ-Cable/dp/B0056XAWOU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377535993&sr=8-1&keywords=dj+splitter+cable

Thanks, I was just looking for a quick fix until my American Audio VMS4.1 arrives in the mail. I believe then I'll have all the inputs and outputs I need for everything; headphones, speakers and microphone(s).

Yes, VMS4.1 has its own built-in DJ sound card.
